Center for Community
The Center for Community, located on the third floor of the MacVittie Union, encompasses the following:
Dean of Students
The Dean of Students and his staff work directly with students to assist them in adjusting to college life and in resolving problems and conflicts that may arise during their undergraduate careers.
Student Conduct and Community Standards
The Dean of Students and the Assistant Dean for Student Conduct and Community Standards preside over the College's conduct system. The College's conduct process includes education to assist individuals and groups in gaining self-awareness of the consequences of their actions, and to help increase interpersonal competence through a mature acceptance of responsibility.
Leadership and Service
The Assistant Dean for Leadership and Service administers leadership and service programs to prepare students for college and community leadership roles and responsibilities, and is the manager of the GOLD Leadership Program.
Fraternal Life
The Coordinator of Fraternal Life works with the College's recognized fraternal organizations by providing advisement, resources, and programs.
Off Campus Living
The Coordinator of Off Campus Living provides programs, services and resources to all students residing, or interested in moving, off campus.
Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement
The Office of Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement coordinates quality volunteer and civic engagement opportunities that offer Geneseo students meaningful co-curricular experiences, positive relationships, leadership development, and opportunities for experiential learning.
Student Employment Service

Home Away From Home Respite Center

The Home Away from Home Respite Center trains student volunteers to create a welcoming and beneficial space where senior citizens with memory-related illnesses can come to participate in fun, social activities while their caregivers have time to themselves.
