The Center for Community, located on the third floor of the MacVittie College Union, encompasses the following offices:DEAN OF STUDENTS: The Dean and his staff work directly with students to assist them in adjusting to college life and in resolving problems and conflicts that may arise during their undergraduate careers. GREEK AFFAIRS/OFF-CAMPUS LIVING: The Coordinator serves as the Greek Advisor who assists fraternities and sororities by overseeing the Inter-Greek Council and the Multicultural Greek Council. The Coordinator also provides programs, services, and resources to all students residing, or interested in moving, off campus. JUDICIAL AFFAIRS: The Dean of Students and the Associate Director for Judicial Affairs preside over the College's judicial system. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION & TRAINING: The Director administers leadership development programs to prepare students for college and community leadership roles and responsibilities through such offerings as the GOLD program. ORIENTATION AND FIRST-YEAR PROGRAMS: The director and staff coordinate orientation programs each semester and institute continuing programs during the first year on campus to foster transitioning to this college's campus life. |
